Sometimes the "simple" play is right.  Just make the 4 point.  Red wants to get a shot, and if and when he hits it, the better his inner board the greater his chances of winning.  Moving from off White's 2 point is not the play here...it allows White to play behind Red and reduces White's chances of leaving shots.
