Lesson/Answer

The best play is not that difficult once you use the proper methodology in determining checker plays.  The first thing is to look at the score and determine how important gammons and wins are relative to your opponent and the score of the match.  The next thing to do is ask yourself, "What is my game plan for winning?"   How is Blue best going to win this game.  Not by priming.  Maybe by racing, but that's kind of close and could go either way.  But Blue has a big edge in a hitting game.

So if there is going to be a hitting game, Blue should make his 4 point.  And blocking Red from running is most important, so make the 11 point.  Yes, that leaves a blot, but again, Blue wants contact in this position.
