Stick's Answer

After a long rollout the two plays are very close, but Stick says that regardless of the computer, he's going to make that anchor and be in the game for a long time.  For one thing, when you make the anchor, Red's game is a lot more complicated to play, and he's likely to make a lot more mistakes than if you hit.  If you hit, it's a simple hitting game...easy to play.  Make that anchor and you're in it forever. 

How well your opponent can play a position just doesn't matter to the bots when they analyze a position--they assume every play will be make perfectly.  But how your opponent might play a position is a major consideration when you are playing humans.
