6-3 Answer

The obvious question is, do you hit or not?  While you can hit and cover the blot on the 2 point, if you count the return shots and measure the risk of getting hit back, coupled with the fact that if things don't go well there will be looking at the doubling cube very quickly, the better play, bar far is to consolidate your position and not hit.  Then you must consider whether it is better to reduce shots or to make your board.  You might reduce shots and still get hit, or get hit later, but if you make your board and get into a hitting exchange, you now have some leverage and power in that kind of game.  So as you can see below, the best play, by far, is to make your 5 and 2 points.
