My Bad/Answer

It's a double and a take.  I was Blue and did not double here.  I saw I was not winning the race and saw that I had 11 shots, but what if I didn't hit?  Or what if I hit and was immediately hit back on my 1?

That kind of thinking is what I call "The Glass is Half-Empty" thinking.  Others that I know see the glass as half full....they see the hit and then a gammon.  Or they see more shots coming.

A good backgammon player isn't either one of these people....they see the good and the bad and weigh them appropriately.  If I had done that, I would have doubled here.
